WAV to MP3

WAV is an audio file format standard developed by Microsoft and IBM for storing an audio bitstream on PCs. It is the main format used on Windows systems for raw and typically uncompressed audio, resulting in high audio quality but very large file sizes.

MP3 is a coding format for digital audio. It pioneered the use of lossy data compression to heavily reduce the file size of digital audio recordings compared to uncompressed audio, while still sounding like a faithful reproduction of the original to most listeners.
